Inula helenium (Elecampane) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Ashton's Cuckoo Bumblebee, silver-washed fritillary, small skipper, and Hoplitis. Individuals can grow to 1.4 m.
