Casearia arborea (Gia Verde) is a species of tree in the family Salicaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Amapá, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Roraima, Piauí, Rio De Janeiro, AmazôNia, Maranhao, Sergipe, Distrito Federal, AmazôNia, Cerrado, Pernambuco, Paraná, ParaíBa, Bahia, Mata AtlâNtica, Tocantins, Espirito Santo, Pará, SãO Paulo, Ceará, Alagoas, GoiáS, Acre (Brazil), Minas Gerais, and RondôNia. They have simple, simple leaves and yellow flowers. Individuals can grow to 27 m.
