Fagopyrum esculentum (Common Buckwheat) is a species of annual herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and achene. Flowers are visited by Monarch, Sericomyia silentis, Sachem, and Silvery Checkerspot. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
