Lappula occidentalis (Flatspine Stickseed) is a species of annual herb in the family Boraginaceae. They are native to Canada, Alaska, and The Contiguous United States. Flowers are visited by Common Checkered Skipper, Pholisora mejicanus, and Garita Skipperling.
