Cistus monspeliensis (Montpelier Cistus) is a species of shrub in the family Cistaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to mediterranean basin. They have simple, broad leaves and dry fruit. Flowers are visited by Lasioglossum collopiense, Plagiolepis pygmaea, Oxythyrea funesta, and Halictus. Individuals can grow to 1.5 m.
