Psilotum nudum (Whisk Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family whisk ferns. They are native to Maranhao, Mata Atlântica, GoiáS, RondôNia, Amazônia, Pará, Tocantins, The Contiguous United States, Paraná, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Caatinga, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, ParaíBa, Ceará, Pantanal, U.S. Virgin Islands, Acre (Brazil), Distrito Federal, Rio De Janeiro, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Rio Grande Do Sul, Minas Gerais, Puerto Rico, Mato Grosso, Pampa, Sergipe, Cerrado, Hawaii, Bahia, and SãO Paulo. They have alternation of generations.
