Trichilia hirta (Broomstick) is a species of shrub in the family Meliaceae. It is a climber. It has a self-supporting growth form. Trichilia hirta is native to Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Cerrado, Amazônia, Caatinga, and Mata Atlântica. It has compound, broad leaves and white flowers. It is a photoautotroph. Reproduction is dioecious.
