They are native to RondôNia, Roraima, AmazôNia, Maranhao, Rio De Janeiro, Bahia, Acre (Brazil), Mata Atlântica, Espirito Santo, Pernambuco, ParaíBa, Sergipe, Pará, Minas Gerais, SãO Paulo, and Amapá. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 20 m.
