Coreopsis tinctoria (golden tickseed) is a herbaceous species of plants in the family Asteraceae, with a self-supporting growth habit. It has simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Syrphid fly, Icaricia acmon, red admiral, and Pearl Crescent. It is a photoautotroph.
