Scabiosa columbaria (Dove Pincushions) is a species of perennial herb in the family Caprifoliaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves and dry fruit. Flowers are visited by Papilio polyxenes, Polyommatus icarus, Lasioglossum pauxillum, and Plebejus. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
