Lithospermum canescens (Hoary Puccoon) is a species of perennial herb in the family Boraginaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Eastern North America, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Pieris rapae, Anthophora ursina, Calliopsis coloradensis, and Distichona auriceps. Individuals can grow to 0.5 m.
