Mesoplodon densirostris (Blainville's Beaked Whale) is a species of Unidentified Ziphiidae in the family Unidentified Ziphiidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are solitary carnivores. Individuals are known to live for 324 months and can grow to 6.2 m. Reproduction is viviparous. They rely on lift powered swimming to move around.

Definition: Appendix II lists species that are not necessarily now threatened with extinction but that may become so unless trade is closely controlled.
