Phasianus colchicus (Ring Necked Pheasant) is a species of birds in the family Phasianidae. It is found in the Palearctic and the Indo-Malayan Realm. It is a diurnal herbivore. Individuals are known to live for 27 years and can grow to 1861 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Ring Necked Pheasant has parental care (only female provides care).
