Numenius arquata (Eurasian Curlew) is a species of birds in the family Scolopacidae. It is listed as near threatened by IUCN. It is associated with freshwater habitat. Eurasian Curlew is found in the Afrotropics, the Indo-Malayan Realm, the Palearctic, and Australasia. It is a diurnal invertivore. Individuals can grow to 1050 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Eurasian Curlew has parental care (pair provides care). It relies on flight to move around.
