Melosira moniliformis is a species of diatoms in the family Melosiraceae. They are native to Espirito Santo, Pará, Bahia, Rio De Janeiro, Pernambuco, SãO Paulo, and Paraná. Dead Melosira moniliformis form siliceous oozes.
