Description
provided by World Register of Marine Species
Colonies are circular, encrusting. They are less than 15 mm in diameter and are thus smaller than any other coral. Colonies have up to 12 corallites which resemble those of Porites. Abundance: very rare. The species is always found in shallow-water environments uninhibited by other corals. (Veron, 1986 )
