Astrea curta is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Astrea curta form shallow marine sediments. Astrea curta form marine reefs. Individuals can grow to 352 µm. They have asexual reproduction, alternation of generations, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They have no parental care. They are sessile animals.
