Valeriana (Valerian) is a genus of herb in the family Caprifoliaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Alaska, The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Golden-headed Scallopwing, Yponomeuta cagnagella, Moroccan Orange Tip, and Painted Crescent. Individuals can grow to 0.8 m.
