Valeriana (Valerian) is a genus of herb in the family Caprifoliaceae. They are native to Canada, Puerto Rico, Alaska, and The Contiguous United States. Flowers are visited by Codatractus valeriana, Aglais io, Red-Band Fritillary, and Painted Crescent. Individuals can grow to 0.8 m.
