Growing here with Sphaeralcea ambigua.
Deutzia sp. The genus Deutzia ranges from the Himalayas east to the Philippines and Japan. Wikipedia says that identification to the species level is difficult and often requires "microscopic detail of the leaf hairs and seed capsule structure." Photographed in a private garden in Berkeley, CA.
