Wasmannia auropunctata (Little Fire Ant) is a species of Hymenoptera in the family ants. They are native to Peru, Barbados, Honduras, Colombia, French Guiana, Brazil, Trinidad And Tobago, Haiti, Saint Vincent And The Grenadines, Argentina, Mexico, Virgin Islands, U.s., Grenada, Suriname, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, Costa Rica, Saint Lucia, Paraguay, Nicaragua, Venezuela, The Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Jamaica, Brazil, Cuba, Panama, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, and Guatemala. They visit flowers of Cuban jute, piri piri, bitter melon, and mata de Mariposa. They are diurnal.
