Symphyotrichum laeve (Smooth Blue Aster) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, United States, and The Americas. They have simple, broad leaves, cyan flowers, and achene. Flowers are visited by drone fly, Melissodes microstictus, Yellow-collared Scape Moth, and Megachile fidelis. Individuals can grow to 1.2 m.
