Young plants of Cardamine tryssa (delicate bittercress) growing in the RTBG nursery.Up until this year (2017) Cardamine tryssa was believed to be extinct in Tasmania being known from a single record from Pontville made in the 1800's. But in January a population was discovered by RTBG seedbank manager James Wood whilst searching for a scarce relative Cardamine franklinensis. A small sample of seeds was collected, sown and are now growing in the RTBG nursery, to learn more about this seldom reported plant.
