Ranunculus (Buttercup) is a genus of herb in the family Ranunculaceae. They are native to Greenland, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Alaska, The Contiguous United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. They have achene. Flowers are visited by Common Oblique Syrphid, Toxomerus occidentalis, hoverfly, and Scaeva pyrastri. Individuals can grow to 3.2 m.
