Dasypus novemcinctus (Nine Banded Armadillo) is a species of mammals in the family long-nosed armadillos. They are native to The Nearctic and The Neotropics. They are solitary, nocturnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 180 months and can grow to 442.79 mm. Reproduction is viviparous and dioecious. They have parental care (female provides care).
