Hystrix indica (Indian Crested Porcupine) is a species of rodents in the family Old World porcupines. It is found in the Indo-Malayan Realm, the Palearctic, and the Afrotropics. It is a nocturnal omnivore. Individuals can grow to 14650 g. Reproduction is dioecious.
