Urceolina

Urceolina is a genus of South American plants in the amaryllis family native to Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, and Peru.[1][2] It has also been introduced to many South and Central American states, as well as India and Sri Lanka.[1]

Taxonomic history

The genus Eucharis Planch. & Linden was formerly regarded as a separate group, but has been treated as a synonym of Urceolina Rchb. in a recent molecular study.[3] Therefore, the species of Eucharis have been transferred to Urceolina.
