They are native to Cerrado, Sergipe, SãO Paulo, Ceará, GoiáS, ParaíBa, Espirito Santo, Tocantins, Caatinga, Pernambuco, Rio De Janeiro, Maranhao, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande Do Norte, Alagoas, Rio Grande Do Sul, Piauí, Minas Gerais, and Bahia. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.91 m.
