Sphiggurus spinosus (Paraguaian Hairy Dwarf Porcupine) is a species of rodents in the family New World porcupines. It is listed in CITES Appendix III. It is found in the Neotropics. Paraguaian Hairy Dwarf Porcupine is a nocturnal herbivore. Individuals can grow to 751 g. Reproduction is dioecious.
