Rosa acicularis is a species of shrub in the family Rosaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Alaska, and United States. They have compound, broad leaves, red flowers, and achenes. Flowers are visited by Chalcosyrphus piger, Colletes americanus, Andrena washingtonii, and Pipiza. Individuals can grow to 1.6 m.
