Occurs among cobbles and rocks in swiftly flowing water. Active at night, feeding on benthic stream invertebrates such as mayfly and midge larvae (Ref 3813). Opportunistic predator with large prey comsuming larger prey from a variety of taxonomic groups (Ref. 51405).
