Ceanothus (Ceanothus) is a genus of shrub in the family Rhamnaceae. They are native to The Americas, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Bumble Bees, Ladies and Red Admiral, Copestylum satur, and Thecla johnsoni. Individuals can grow to 3.5 m.
