Species ofFennellomycesproduce sporangiophores that bear deliquescent-walled, apophysate sporangia with a subsporangial vesicle. This sporangiophore also forms a few to many apophysate, persistent-walled sporangia on straight to curved or twisted and contorted lateral branches. Zygospores have ornamented and pigmented zygosporangia and opposed suspensors. (Zygomycetes.org 2015)
