Originally described from Wadi Hof near Helwan. Taxonomically difficult since it is part of the Euchloe ausonia complex that has yet to be sorted out.

Euchloe aegyptiaca is a butterfly in the family Pieridae. It is found from Libya to Egypt and Jordan, extending into Saudi Arabia.[2]
