Capreolus is a genus of deer with at least two extant species:Image Scientific name Common Name Distribution Capreolus capreolus European roe deer Scotland south to the Mediterranean and east to Iran and the Caucasus. Introduced to Ireland, Australia, and Pohnpei. Capreolus pygargus Siberian roe deer Urals south to the Caucasus and east to Manchuria. Briefly nautralized in England, but extirpated by 1945.
