Sambucus canadensis (Canadian Elder) is a species of shrub in the family Adoxaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Puerto Rico, Canada, The Contiguous United States, and Eastern North America. They have compound, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Spilomyia alcimus, Attagenus piceus, Chalcosyrphus nemorum, and Bean weevil. Individuals can grow to 8.2 m.
