Setonix brachyurus (Quokka) is a species of mammals in the family Macropodidae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Australia. They are nocturnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 144 months. Reproduction is viviparous and dioecious. They rely on saltation to move around.
