Finescale Splitfin

Viviparous. Males possess an andropodium, a structureless lobule of the anal fin which acts only as conveyor to assure successful fertilization.

Inhabits a quiet pool of clear to murky water at a depth of up to 1.2 m and with bottom consisting of sand, silt, rocks and boulders.
