Euphorbia hirta (Pillpod Sandmat) is a species of annual herb in the family Euphorbiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Amazônia, Sergipe, Piauí, ParaíBa, Bahia, SãO Paulo, GoiáS, Caatinga, Mata Atlântica, Maranhao, RondôNia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Cerrado, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, Rio Grande Do Norte, Roraima, Puerto Rico, Mato Grosso, Ceará, Pampa, Distrito Federal, Acre (Brazil), Alagoas, Rio Grande Do Sul, Paraná, Pernambuco, US Minor Outlying Islands, The Contiguous United States, Rio De Janeiro, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pará, Santa Catarina, and Tocantins. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 2.4 m.
