Callisia monandra (Cojite Morado) is a species of perennial herb in the family Commelinaceae. It is native to Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Mata Atlântica, Sergipe, São Paulo, Paraíba, Alagoas, Paraná, Ceará, Santa Catarina, Bahia, Pernambuco, and Caatinga. It is a photoautotroph.
