Heliconia psittacorum (Parakeetflower) is a species of perennial herb in the family Heliconiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Piauí, Maranhao, Cerrado, Amapá, GoiáS, Sergipe, Alagoas, RondôNia, Ceará, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, Caatinga, Mato Grosso, Tocantins, Bahia, Roraima, AmazôNia, Pantanal, Pará, Pernambuco, Mata AtlâNtica, and ParaíBa. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Reddish hermit, Copper-rumped Hummingbird, and Glittering-throated Emerald.
