Stipa occidentalis (Western Needlegrass) is a species of perennial grass in the family True grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, Western North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Individuals can grow to 0.61 m.
