Sporobolus virginicus (Seashore Dropseed) is a species of perennial herb in the family True grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, Rio De Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Espirito Santo, Alagoas, Pernambuco, SãO Paulo, Paraná, Rio Grande Do Norte, Maranhao, ParaíBa, Bahia, AmazôNia, Piauí, Cerrado, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pará, Mata AtlâNtica, Pampa, Caatinga, Atlantic And Gulf Coastal Plain (Agcp), Florida, Middle America, and Eastern North America. They have simple, simple leaves and brown flowers. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
