They are native to Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Western North America, Iraq, Lebanon, India, Libya, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Algeria, Nepal, Myanmar, Japan, Tunisia, Taiwan, Jordan, Syria, Afghanistan, Southeast Asia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Georgia, Egypt, Iran, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, China, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan. They have simple, simple leaves. Individuals can grow to 9 feet.
