Thalassia testudinum (Turtlegrass) is a species of perennial herb in the family Hydrocharitaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, Middle America, Atlantic And Gulf Coastal Plain (Agcp), and U.S. Virgin Islands. They have simple, broad leaves.
