Pinus nigra (European Black Pine) is a species of tree in the family pines. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Eastern North America and northern hemisphere. They have simple, spine-shaped leaves, yellow flowers, and dry fruit. Individuals can grow to 40 m. Reproduction is monoecious.
