Tsuga mertensiana (Mountain Hemlock) is a species of tree in the family pines. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, northern hemisphere, United States, Western North America, Alaska, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, simple leaves, yellow flowers, and cone. Individuals can grow to 125 feet. Reproduction is monoecious.
