Nycteris thebaica is a species of bats in the family slit-faced bats. They are native to the Palearctic and Ethiopia. They are nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 52.65 mm. Reproduction is viviparous and dioecious. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on flight to move around.
