Hystrix brachyura (Malayan Porcupine) is a species of rodents in the family Old World porcupines. It is found in the Indo-Malayan Realm and the Palearctic. It is a nocturnal omnivore. Individuals are known to live for 327.6 months and can grow to 8000 g. Reproduction is dioecious.
