Acomys cahirinus (Cairo Spiny Mouse) is a species of rodents in the family Muridae. They are native to Ethiopia and the Palearctic. They are nocturnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 60 months and can grow to 43 mm. Reproduction is dioecious. They have parental care (cooperative breeding and female provides care).
