South-west corner of Western Australia.The extent of occurrence of the species is approximately 60000 km2.

Areas of permanent moisture, such as the edge of marshes.Females lay approximately 70 eggs singly, in shallow water. Often found in association with C. georgiana. Tadpoles take about 4 months to develop.
